AISECOPS

AISECOPS Frequently Asked Questions

Direct answers to the questions security leaders ask about AI-powered security operations, OSM AI agents, governance, and how AISECOPS fits alongside the tools and teams you already have.

AISECOPS Fundamentals

What is AISECOPS?

AISECOPS is OSM's approach to AI-powered security operations: specialized AI agents that reason over shared security context and execute governed workflows across the five operational stages — Understand, Investigate, Decide, Act, and Report. It augments your security team rather than replacing it. Read the full definition on What Is AISECOPS.

How is AISECOPS different from a SIEM?

A SIEM collects and correlates logs so humans can search them. AISECOPS agents do the searching, triage, and correlation for you — interpreting events against a continuously maintained model of your assets, exposures, and business context, and escalating only what is verified. A SIEM is a data layer; AISECOPS is an operations layer that can consume SIEM output.

How is AISECOPS different from SOAR?

SOAR replays static playbooks: if X, then Y. AISECOPS agents reason over context instead of replaying scripts — they weigh evidence, adapt their investigation to the specific asset and threat, and prepare decisions for humans. Playbooks break when reality deviates; agent reasoning adapts to it.

How is AISECOPS different from MDR?

MDR outsources detection and response to a vendor's analysts. AISECOPS keeps operations in your hands: AI agents run inside your OSM platform, on your environment, under your governance boundaries. You get the scale of an outsourced team without handing control of your security operations to a third party.

OSM AI Agents

What is the difference between Base AI Agents and Advanced AI Agents?

Base AI Agents run inside the OSM platform today and produce continuous security signal — exposure analysis, vulnerability assessment, application testing, threat intelligence. Advanced AI Agents consume that signal through the OSM AI Core and execute complete operational workflows such as pentesting, SOC triage, executive reporting, and compliance management. Learn more on How OSM AI Agents Help.

Are the Advanced AI Agents available now?

The six Advanced AI Agents — AI Pentester, L1 SOC Analyst, Security Operations Specialist, Software Security Engineer, CISO Assistant, and Compliance Manager — are marked COMING SOON. The Base AI Agents and the OSM AI Core they build on are part of the OSM platform today. Schedule a demo to see the foundation working now.

Do OSM AI agents replace security analysts?

No. AISECOPS is designed around human-in-the-loop governance: agents absorb repetitive volume — triage, enrichment, correlation, report drafting — while humans make the consequential decisions. The goal is a smaller team operating at a scale that would otherwise require far more headcount, not a team of zero.

Can agents take actions on production systems?

Agents prepare and propose actions; execution happens within approval boundaries your team defines. Low-risk, pre-approved actions can execute automatically, while high-impact changes — containment steps, production fixes, policy changes — require explicit human approval. You decide where the boundaries sit.

Adoption and Integration

Does AISECOPS replace our existing security tools?

No. OSM integrates with your existing stack — scanners, cloud platforms, identity providers, ticketing, and communication tools — and agents operate across them. AISECOPS adds an operations layer on top of the tools you already own, making their output actionable instead of adding another console to check.

How do we get started with AISECOPS?

Start with the OSM platform and its Base AI Agents, which build the shared security context layer from day one. As Advanced AI Agents become available, they plug into that same context — there is no re-implementation. Schedule a demo and we will map the path against your current environment.

Which teams benefit most from AISECOPS?

Security teams whose workload outgrows their headcount: SOC teams drowning in alerts, AppSec teams behind on reviews, GRC teams preparing audits manually, and security leaders who need board-ready answers faster. The use cases page maps each outcome to the agents that deliver it.
